Refer to the Archival Research page for photos of the original Female Figurine on display in the UNH Museum. The 3D model allows the viewer to interact with the figurine, veiwing her from any angle, while when she is displayed in an exhibit, only a single persepctive is accesible. The coloration seems to be slightly different, however this may be due to the difference in lighting used during the photographing stage and the lighting in the UNH museum exhibit. Aside from the minor errors adressed above, such as the white halo around the arms, the 3D model appears to be pretty accurate. In our opinion, the model turned out well and was a good replication of the original figurine. Some portions of white are still present near the arms and near the base. The white halo was present once again, so all the white points were selected and deleted before the final model was made. It was concluded that when every other photo was selected, photographs of sections of the base that were necessary were not included.Īll the pictures that included the underside of the base were added to the point cloud. When this model was uploaded to Sketchfab, the bottom portion of the base was missing. This was possibly due to Agisoft believing that the white fill that was used to isolate the figurine in Photoshop was part of the figurine. The point cloud had a halo of white around the figurine, so all of the white points were selected and deleted in order to isolate the figure. All the photos that were selected were accepted by Agisoft. It was concluded that this error resulted from too many photos that confused the program.Įvery other photograph was selected to create the original point cloud in order for Agisoft to align the photos properly. Please refer to Photogrammetry Method for more information.Īll of the photos were accepted by Agisoft, but the point cloud was not accurate. ![]() The 3D model that resulted from these steps was uploaded to Sketchfab. A mesh was then built to connect the points and texture mapping was added. A beginning point cloud was made by aligning the photos, then a dense point cloud was built. The pictures were then stitched togehter in Agisoft. The figurine was isolated and color adjusted in each of these photographs using Photoshop. The figurine was placed on a turntable and 167 pictures were taken with a Nikon DSLR mid-range camera from different angles.
